Mother is a mother always. What a mother can do nobody can do that. The irony is that at a point when her children are in distress, she can take a plunge to rescue her children without thinking about her own life. A mother gives birth to her child by keeping the child in her womb for long time. Therefore, she is totally committed for her child throughout her life. Although a father is responsible for creation of a child but it is the mother who gives space in her womb for creation of a child. Therefore the love, sacrifice, devotion for a mother towards her child cannot be comparable with anybody else. Let’s we discuss about a mother’s heart-warming story which has occurred recently.
On 12th June2025, Air India Flight 171 was crashed in Ahmedabad within one minute of takeoff. All the 242 boarded persons except one died in the crash. The plane crashed on the top of a medical hostel where doctors were having lunch at that time, some of the doctors also died on the spot. But one heart-warming story of a tea seller lady Sitaben whose 14 years old son Akash died due to falling of burning plane parts upon him at that time. The plight of that mother Sitbena, made everybody numb.
Actually, the lady called Sitaben had a small tea shop nearby the medical college. In the afternoon her 14th year old son had gone to deliver food for her. She requested her to rest there for some time. The boy was resting beneath a tree nearby their tea shop after delivering the food to his mother. Suddenly the plane crashed on the top of the medical college’s hostel and some burning part of the plane fall upon the boy. Due to explosion the whole area was filled with smoke and fire. When Sitaben saw this terrible incident, she tried to request the nearby people to rescue her son. She was seen moving in distress and running on the road and shouted for help. The whole area was covered with gusty fire and smokes. Nobody came forward to rescue her son. When Sitaben saw nobody help her at last she plunged into fire to rescue her son. She did not bother for her life. She only bothered how to rescue her son from the fire. Due to heavy explosion the whole area was dark due to smokes, fumes and fire.
When people rescued Sitaben at that time she was fifty percent burnt in the fire. As a mother she tried her best to rescue her son from the clumps of the fire. But she could not. Her son died in the fire. Sitaben has been taken to a hospital for treatment. She did not know that for which son she challenged the fire by jumping into it, that son is no more. Nobody has told Sitaben about the death of her son.
This is one true incident of the plane crash. The plight of Sitaben to save her son has been recorded in the VDO. It shows how a mother can go to any extent to save her child when her child’s life is in danger. Even when she could not get help from anybody she herself jumped into fire to rescue her son. This is mother’s sacrifice for her child. The sorrow part is that although Sitaben tried her level best to rescue her son by burning fifty percent of her own body in the fire. But sad part is that she could not succeed to save her little son.
Parents are life of children. Both father and mother have importance in the life of a child. But what a mother can do for her child it is never possible by anybody. She is the epitome of love, care, share, emotion and sacrifice. Mother remains mother trough out the life of a child. Therefore the place of mother can not be taken or replaced by anybody in this earth.
